Carrie Will: November 4 – December 15, 2013

Landmark Arts at the Texas Tech University School of Art presents the photographs of Carrie Will as the third show in the 2013 – 2014 SRO Photo Gallery exhibition series from November 4 – December 15.

Carrie Will’s series, I am redundant, half of a whole, a freak, identical and lucky, uncovers the intimacy and the beautiful peculiarity of being an identical twin. By turning the camera on herself and twin sister, Will uses photography to “exaggerate the gaze of others and to illustrate the interconnectedness of our identity.” Every photograph, rich in color and sentiment, explores an individual narrative yet connects back into the series title of why I am redundant, half of a whole, a freak, identical and lucky.
